Number of Channels

An amplifier is first characterized by the number of channels that it will be capable to amplify: one, two four or five. The monaural amplifiers are generally reserved to low frequencies. On the contrary, a five-channel amplifier can simultaneously supply the front right and left ways, the back right and left ways and the woofer.

The Bridge Circuit of Two Channels

All the aplifiers are built with their own distinctiveness: it is therefore possible to to transform two of those channels of amplification into a more powerful and common channel, hence the designation "Bridge circuit".

The Integrated Filters

Since the amplifiers are capable of supplying only some installed speakers, they have integrated filters- lohigh and low pass filter- which permit to process only the actual frequencies reproduced by each type of speaker. Other filters such as the Bass boost or the Subsonic Filter allow an improved response in low frequencies.

Power

As for every amplifiers, power is an important criterion. It is expressed through watts for a given charge. Not only should you take into account the absolute value but also on the one hand the scale of reproduced frequencies and on the other hand, the efficiency of the speakers that you wish to supply through the amplifier.

Power Supply

The amplifier is the element that requires the greatest care when it comes to power supply. As a huge power consumer, it requires a direct line from the batteries with a proper cross-section cable and an independent protection for each fuse. Its power will be maximized only according to those conditions of performances and security. You can alos notice that the power of our amplifiers corresponds to a supplied woltage of 12.5V. This value is lower than the one generally used, and tehrefore less favourable regarding the annouced value: the power of the Oxygen audio amplifiers is thus a guaranteed value in the most difficult situations.
